When the idea for the music video came up, Matyi decided to give me complete creative freedom, stating that he would only watch the final clip. Usually, I work with a precisely crafted script and a complete crew, but this time I chose to start with a handheld camera and let the story find me. I looked for simple, everyday memories that uplift and sustain us over the years, like watching a personal home video. I also involved Matyi’s family and friends in the project. While my initial goal was to capture staged memories, I ended up gaining genuine conversations and experiences.
